The Monticello City Council held a meeting on January 22 to discuss the proposed new Public Works Facility. RJM Construction presented the development estimate at $38 million for the building. It is proposed for city owned land near the water tower on School Street.
Council members questions include delaying the project, downsizing the project and looking at some State help. In previous council meetings they heard that the current Public Works Facility is extremely overcrowded. The issue was tabled for further discussion.
